Saigon Premier Container Terminal ( SPCT) belongs to DP World, is the most advanced joint venture Terminal project in Vietnam. The success of the Terminal’s development is an engine for economic development in the southern region of Vietnam and specifically in the Hochiminh City and its neighbor provinces, and has created a significant number of job opportunities for local employees in addition to new business opportunities for companies in the region.
In 2010, SPCT came to first operation as a common-user Container Terminal with multi-purpose cargo handling abilities as well. SPCT also offers a variety of value added services such as cargo stuffing/unstuffing for rice and reefer, container and reefer repairs. Our original business comes from the container terminal operations, which is designed to handle 1.15 million TEU per year.
In 2017, we have diverted our business focus to pure RORO operations as the only professional terminal to handle RORO in the south of Vietnam due to strong market demand where the annual handling of import car will be over 65,000 CBU in 2019. Meantime, our existing container annual throughput capacity will be remaining at the level of 500,000 TEU, it is based on the partial use of 23 hectares land with 500m quay and equipped with 3 Panamax size gantry cranes (80ton lift cap.), 1 Reach stackers, 5 forklifts and various equipment and labor support from the vendors.
